One day I was standing in line with my two daughters waiting to check out books at the library.  Each of us was reading while we inched along.  An older lady started talking to us.  We would answer and then turn back to our books.  I didn't pay much attention to the lady at first.  But as she talked to us in her gentle and kind way, she drew my attention.  She was so giving in they way she talked.  I don't remember specifically what she said, but as she talked about books and children, she almost started to glow.  We made it to the counter and checked out our books.  As we left, she looked up from her conversation with the librarian and waved goodbye to us.  I thought, "I want to be like her one day."

I am currently reading Les Miserables in which there is a character, like this lady, out of which goodness flows.  He is described in this way -

"Monseigneur Bienvenu had what is called a handsome presence,  but such was his amiability that his looks were forgotten."

I think that is an appropriate quote for the opening blog post of a website which is primarily devoted to a clothing line.
