"I'm looking for something that might not work." That is one of Seth Godin's favorite phrases, and I love it. I have spent most of my life over-preparing in order to avoid embarrassment. But I'm learning to just run through the fear. So, here is my something that might not work -
I am launching a Spring/Summer collection on April 1
"You have been making clothes for a while now. Why might this not work?"
Here are the reasons:
1. I just set the date last weekend, and I don't have any patterns or fabric yet.
2. Instead of taking orders and custom making the pieces after the launch, I am standardizing my sizes and producing to sell on April 1.
Do I have enough time to do this? I don't know. But if I don't set a crazy date like that, I won't get anywhere.
And, to make it a little crazier and a little more likely to not work -
I am self-publishing a book on April 29
I can't wait to see if this works...
