I don't like traditions. I like different. One of my favorite "differents" that we did this year was the Jar of Awesome.
I was feeling rather negative at the beginning of December, so I put a jar on the counter and told everyone to write down all the awesome things that happen during their day. Then, last night at dinner (New Year's Eve), we read all of them.
It was so much fun, because even in the course of a month you forget about all of the awesome things that happened. My kids liked it so much that we are going to do it again in January. So instead of resolutions this month, write down all of the awesome things you already have.
