SCAD Style

I made a trip down to SCAD to find out about the style of these artistic students -

This is Amrusha.  Her studded backpack is from Hong Kong and her shoes are from H&M.

This is Miracle.  I love that name.  Her flowy top is from a boutique in Suwanee.  I didn't even notice her sparkly leggings until now.  Very cool.

This is Henry.  His hat is Emporio Armani - a gift from his dad.  His sweater is from Zara.

The shoes are from J. Crew.  She was in such a hurry for class that I didn't get her name.

This is an awesome tunnel behind SCAD.

Oscar de la Renta

Today, my daughter and I attended the Oscar de la Renta exhibit at SCAD.  The students who host the exhibit make the experience educational and luxurious.

Taylor Swift wore this gown to the 2014 Met Ball.  You can see her in the gown here.

I design clothes for women to wear. I’m not interested in shock tactics. I just want to make beautiful clothes.
— Oscar de la Renta

The dress in the middle is from Oscar de la Renta's first collection in 1965.

After viewing the exquisite dresses, you can relax in the salon and watch a film about the making of the exhibit -

Even the bathroom is impressive -

I'll leave you with my favorite gown.  It is magnificent -

You can visit the exhibit at SCAD (1600 Peachtree Street Atlanta, Georgia 30309) through December 31.
